Week 1: Self portrait
The idea for this portrait was to show myself with a photo taken when I was a toddler, but because the focus is soft and the light is blown, it doesn’t really read. (My tripod is packed somewhere in the garage as we do our remodel, so I had to fake it with a book propped on a ladder propped on the deck and eventually I gave up and just went with what I had.) The image wasn’t salvageable without a LR action, which is why I used one here for the first time. It’s not exactly what I envisioned, but it does show me pretty much as I am (BIG LIE: Where are the wrinkles?) and I’m okay with it, even though I squirm whenever I see a photo of myself.
Now it’s time to link over to http://stephanyjonesphotography.blogspot.com. (I admit it…I took a sneak peek and it’s absolutely adorable.) This is fun!
