Week 9: Green

We’re about halfway through an extensive remodel and even though the spring rains are turning nearby foothills into shimmering carpets of emerald, this is the only green I’m seeing. I’m seeing it pass from my hand to the general contractor’s. I’m seeing it leave my bank account and go to the roofer. I’m seeing it tumble out of my wallet and get scooped up by the cabinet guy. And I’m hoping, with crossed fingers and a sense of dopey optimism, that it will all come back to me happily reconfigured in the form of a beautiful, new house that I love.

A house, ironically, that’s going to be painted green.

How green is it in Australia at this time of year? Let’s find out. Lucy Jane Photography, Adelaide SA Photographer,http://www.lucyjanephoto.com.au/blog
