Week 39: Paper

(First of all—whoa! Pink. I have no control over this or I’d make a change.)

Hi all. What a thrill it is to be back here! We’ve moved into our remodeled house and things are slowly beginning to normalize. True, it’s been so long since I’ve posted to wordpress.com that I didn’t remember my password, but here I am.

I live near Palo Alto, which is where Steve Jobs lived, and this shot was taken outside of the Apple store in his hometown. I know this is an image that’s been seen a lot this past week but it seemed more poignant knowing that this was taken at Steve’s Apple store. The thoughts, words, notes on these post-its were all so heartfelt—I found it an ironic and fitting tribute to the man who took us paperless. We have so many avenues of expression these days, but sometimes there’s just no substitute for paper.
